National Apprenticeship Week: hear from Daniel Kamp, County Durham Resilience Administration Apprentice

Writer's picture: PCPPCP

Last year for #NationalApprenticeshipWeek we spoke to our County Durham Resilience Administration Apprentice, Daniel Kamp and this year he's provided us an update on how he's been getting on.

"Over the past year, I’ve gained so many valuable skills, including improved communication, boosted confidence, and a strong foundation in admin tasks. I’ve also developed both teamwork and lone working skills, allowing me to adapt to different situations and work more effectively.

"There are a couple moments I’m proud of during my time at PCP. Passing my probation is the first one as it marked the first time I’d been in a job for more than nine months. Another moment was when I won the award for best story at our Christmas team meeting, we had to put together a gingerbread house and come up with a story for it, which really showed my development in confidence.

"Some advice I would give to someone wanting to do an apprenticeship would be to take it. It’s a great opportunity to gain some good experience, especially at PCP, an organisation that is person-centred and friendly. As someone who has always struggled to fit in at jobs it's been a great experience for me."

Daniel is sure to have a very successful career in PCP having formed many strong working relationships in the time he has been with PCP. You can also go back and read County Durham Resilience Administrator, Laura Cruddace's experiences from apprentice to now long term employee of PCP.
