Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) is excited to announce the return of its ‘Rock Your Socks’ for World Down Syndrome Day campaign for Together 21, a service dedicated to supporting children and young people with Down syndrome.

World Down Syndrome Day is taking place on Friday 21 March 2025, with the aim to raise awareness about Down syndrome and fundraise to enable the service to continue support children and young people with Down syndrome, and their families from across the region.

Georgina Beckensall, Project Lead of Together 21 at PCP, said: “We are appealing for individuals, schools, businesses, and community groups to join us digging deep into their sock drawer to wear their odd socks with pride to raise awareness on the upcoming World Down Syndrome Day.

“Together 21 provided over 200 hours of face-to-face sessions in the last year, with sessions providing tailored learning activities that focus on children with Down syndrome developing key skills to get them ready for school and life after school.

“Together 21 not only benefits the children we support, but in the past year we have also supported 123 parents, siblings, and guardians.

“Any support raised positively impacts the lives of children with Down syndrome and their families, enabling Together 21 to continue to offer resources and opportunities that empower everyone to reach their full potential.”

Join in the Rock Your Socks campaign online with the hashtag ‘#T21RYS2025’. The campaign encourages everyone to wear vibrant, mismatched socks throughout March with the aim of raising awareness of Down syndrome in a light-hearted way by celebrating individuality and diversity.
