Healthwatch County Durham
PCP is proud to host the contract for Healthwatch County Durham. Healthwatch County Durham is the independent champion for people who use health and social care services.
Healthwatch County Durham is an independent champion, helping local residents get the best from health and social care services. Their purpose is to understand the needs and concerns of people who use services and to speak out on their behalf.
They gather the views and experiences of local people, tell providers and commissioners what the public think about services, make recommendations for improvements, and pass on findings to the Care Quality Commission and Healthwatch England.
They have statutory powers to Enter and View - to go and see services for themselves, and find out what is working well and what could be better.
They also provide advice and guidance for people looking for services, or who aren’t happy with the service they have received.
